Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026
Schedule: Contestant check-in 3:30 p.m. (south end of the Amphitheatre); dog-and-owner costume contest 4–5 p.m.; merchant trick-or-treating 5–7 p.m.
Location: Alys Beach Town Center, east end of Scenic 30A
Costume contest: Advance tickets required; space is limited

Howl-O-Ween is back at Alys Beach Town Center, and it’s built for families and their dogs. It starts with a dog-and-owner costume contest on the “Cat Walk” at the Splash Pad, with awards for Best Costume, Most Creative Concept and Best Strut. After that, kids can trick-or-treat at participating Town Center shops and restaurants from 5 to 7 p.m. while DJ Mike Whitty plays Halloween favorites.

Bring a trick-or-treat bag or grab one at the arrivals area, keep dogs leashed, and clean up after your pup. Alys Beach says event details can change because of weather.

Storm note: As of October 16, Alys Beach says its amenities and Town Center merchants have reopened, with a few exceptions while repairs continue, but the beach and all beach services stay closed until further notice.

Before you make the drive: we confirmed this listing on Alys Beach’s events page on October 16, 2026, a week after Hurricane Isaias came ashore near Destin. Some South Walton amenities and beach accesses are still being repaired, so confirm with the organizer before you go.
