RUN WATERSOUND is the annual 5K and 10K through the paths and sidewalks of the Watersound Origins community in Inlet Beach, at the east end of South Walton. Organizers describe the course as flat and scenic, and it’s open to runners of all levels. Awards go to the top three male and female finishers overall in each distance, followed by a post-race party with music at the Pavilion.
Packet pickup: Friday, October 23, 4–6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach (11299 US-98, Suite C104), or race morning from 7 a.m. at the Watersound Town Center Pavilion. Register at watersound.itsyourrace.com.
Before you make the drive: we confirmed this listing on Watersound’s community events calendar and the race registration page on October 16, 2026, a week after Hurricane Isaias came ashore near Destin. Some South Walton amenities and beach accesses are still being repaired, so confirm with the organizer before you go.
